Welcome to the 29th year for the ONTARIO SKATERS PROMOTIONAL CONTEST. This program is a wonderful opportunity for skaters and clubs throughout the province of Ontario to fundraise and create public awareness of the sport of figure skating. Assistance to your club will be provided through detailed information provided in the booklet below and by contacting the Promotional Contest representative named below.
This is an Ontario-wide program. Skate Ontario will cover the up-front costs required to produce this year’s Promotional Contest program, prizes and promotion materials. The club will remit payment for the tickets after the fundraising has been collected. For many clubs, the funds raised from the Ontario Skaters Promotional Contest are invaluable. Donated funds assist your skaters and members in many ways and most directly assist to off-set ice costs and fees to participate in the sport.
Contest Period
- To enable you to reach all of your membership (early and new year registrations) the contest period is September 1, 2017 to February 28, 2018.
- Skate Ontario has extended the period for new orders from October 31, 2017 to February 1, 2018. Please email Melissa Fraser (mfraser@skateontario.org) for any orders.
- Skate Ontario has extended the date to returning unused booklets from December 15, 2017 to February 15, 2018 at no cost, any returns after this date above the 5% threshold will require the club to pay remittance of $18/booklet.
- All ticket stubs, funds, and the accounting form must be received by Skate Ontario ABSOLUTELY NO LATER than Friday, March 9, 2018 to provide sufficient lead time for the accounting process.

Prizes
The random draw from eligible entries will take place at the 2018 Skate Ontario STARSkate Provincial Championships to be held at the Invista Centre in Kingston, Ontario on March 17, 2018.

1 – Third Prize: $3,500 Travel Certificate
5 – Fourth Prize: 5 prizes of Apple MacBook Air 13″ with computer bag
