Skate Ontario will be presenting its inaugural Performance Camp at the National Performance Centre at York University August 17-21, 2015.
This overnight camp will be focusing on the performance aspect of the sport with over 100 of Ontario’s top high performance development athletes attending. The head choreographer/director, Melissa Williams of “So You Think You Can Dance” television fame and her staff will direct the athletes though a terrific week of hard work and fun.
The athletes invited to this camp are, the 2015/16 Skate Ontario OHPSI team, Ontario athletes who attended the 2015 Skate Canada Challenge, and selected development athletes from across Ontario. Some of the athletes in attendance include, 2015/16 Jr Grand Prix competitors Hope McLean and Trennt Michaud, 2015 Jr National Dance medalists and current SR International competitors Lauren Collins and Shane Firus, and 2015 Sr Women National competitor Michelle Long plus many other up and coming rising stars.
The camp will conclude with a performance show on August 21 at 1:30pm. The show will be at the National Performance Centre, 989 Murray Ross Parkway, North York Ontario, on the campus of York University. The show is open to the public and admission is free!
